Christina callahan, lmtBeing a massage therapist is incredibly fun, rewarding and challenging. It suits my personality and goals in life, mostly because I like variation, using my brain, exercising compassion and helping people. Sure, it's sometimes exhausting, but when I have a full schedule of people who appreciate how massage improves their lives, the work feels easy.
I've been amassing huge amounts of info about myself throughout the years, learning something new everyday. Currently I work as a licensed massage therapist in NY and PA, as well as a freelance/technical writer on the side. I'm really, really into health (my own and yours), horses and happiness. I like to do all kinds of stuff, and I've had all kinds of jobs including: 1. Stall mucker 2. Camp Counselor 3. Retail associate (awful!) 4. Lab tech at a sperm bank (yes, I said sperm bank) 5. Baker (of cookies! Yum!) 6. Yoga instructor 7. Clinical Support Manager 8. Freelance Writer 9. Massage Therapist I think all my jobs have contributed something special to my current state of mind, health and soul. I have an amazing family, boyfriend/life partner, animal "children" and supportive friends. I love my job(s) and am excited to share just how beneficial massage is with the rest of the world. |
